Established in 1811, the Santa Sofia winery has headquarter and cellars in Pedemonte, north of Verona (Italy). Santa Sofia, with the turn-over of generations, has built up and maintained a reputation as a “small estate with high quality” and has become one of the most refined and significant realities in the Veronese winemaking world. Already in the mid-800, the company was known for the excellent quality of its wines. The wines are produced from grapes carefully selected coming from the most suited and best exposed hillsides in the surrounding area. Red wines are well balanced and have great body. White wines are fresh with delicate bouquets. Both are the fruit of a superb marriage between age-old traditions and experience and the invaluable contribution of modern technology. Finesse, elegance, balance and a great pairing with food characterize the style of the company, which produces wines of the Valpolicella (Amarone, Ripasso, Recioto, Valpolicella), as well as of the most suitable DOC zones of the province of Verona, Soave, Bardolino, Lugana, Custoza.
