Set up in the fifties, the Azienda Vinicola Colferai, located on the terrain of the Veneto on the Prosecco road amidst the marvellous hills of Conegliano which lead to Valdobbiadene, selects the best grapes for wine making. Its many years of experience in the sector, the technologies it employs and its respect for tradition together with its storage capacity (approx. 50,000 hectolitres) and its around 100 hectares of vineyards extending through the areas of Prosecco DOCG (Controlled Designation of Origin Guaranteed) and the Grave del Friuli DOC (Controlled Designation of Origin) area have allowed Colferai to produce wine from its own grapes plus those produced by around fifty historical producers in the area and to be able to offer a product with homogenous features throughout the year which are highly important factors for the “loose” wine market. Established in 1811, the Santa Sofia winery has headquarter and cellars in Pedemonte, north of Verona (Italy). Santa Sofia, with the turn-over of generations, has built up and maintained a reputation as a “small estate with high quality” and has become one of the most refined and significant realities in the Veronese winemaking world. Already in the mid-800, the company was known for the excellent quality of its wines. The wines are produced from grapes carefully selected coming from the most suited and best exposed hillsides in the surrounding area. Red wines are well balanced and have great body. White wines are fresh with delicate bouquets. Both are the fruit of a superb marriage between age-old traditions and experience and the invaluable contribution of modern technology. Finesse, elegance, balance and a great pairing with food characterize the style of the company, which produces wines of the Valpolicella (Amarone, Ripasso, Recioto, Valpolicella), as well as of the most suitable DOC zones of the province of Verona, Soave, Bardolino, Lugana, Custoza.
